My Head's Spinning

I'm lost in all the Fair & Square rounds and seasonals now! But, the above little square was mine to Sue W. for the round in which we were to do a gardenish/floral type theme. This is, of course, taken from a PS chart.

Now that all the Celebrations and Seasons are happening...my head is spinning!! I don't know what to sign up for or when! Help!!!

Hello!

I'm thrilled to be a new member of this group. I live in Forest Falls, a small town at 6,000 feet in the San Bernardino Mountains of southern California. I'm a teachers' union president - that's my full-time job, and have been an Air Force daughter, officer, then wife, and now mother. My husband's retired from the AF, and our 25-year-old son is in the AF and stationed in Japan. He's coming home on leave Monday for 3 weeks. Our 26-year-old daughter works at a huge Indian casino in a nearby town. My husband's a fly-fishing fanatic, and we go wherever the trout are. My passions are: my job (advocacy for teachers and public education), cooking, cross stitching, and traveling with my husband in our 27-foot Keystone Sprinter. I have two other blogs - one for cooking (Cookin' With Cyndi) and one for the travel (Wanderlust). But my blog for stitching is the one I hope you'll visit (if you want) - Just One More Stitch. Fourth of July Received

What a great surprise that awaited me in my mailbox when I got home this morning (they actually arrived yesterday) ... my 4th of July squares from Heather. I absolutely love the squares. She also sent me some great goodies ... a great patriotic lighthouse (combining two of my favorite) chart, along with three of the Week Dye Works threads needed and a neat little Americana heart. Here are all the goodies and then just the squares themselves.

Thank you, Laura M.! I recieved my squares yesterday, and I just love them. Great choice of designs. Hearts are one of my favorite things! :) The dyed thread looks very pretty in the design. The buttons and fabric you sent are so cute. I can't wait to use them.
All the goodies you sent were gone. My children loved the pixie stics, and mints. My husband really liked the sunflower seeds. He'd never seen candy coated ones. I saved the chocolate for myself. It was fun having you for a partner, and I should have your squares out to you tomorrow.

I received my Patriotic Exchange from Patti K. yesterday. They are just beautiful! Patti said she composed it from 2 different freebies. One from Stitchy Kitty and one from Erica Michaels. The little flag is stitched over one. It is so cute! She also sent me a skein each of red, white and blue floss, which the white happens to be B5200 and I am out of that color and Joann's was out when I went the other day. I also got 2 differnet kinds of cotton fabric, some patriotic garland, a patriotic magnet and a Peacock cross stitch pattern. I love it all! Thank you Patti!

I received the beautiful package which you sent me on Thursday. I didn't have the opportunity to write until now because of sick kids and an insane day at work.

Thanks sooo much for all of the goodies. I love it all! You really spoiled me. I love the piece you stitched for me. I stitched that for someone for another exchange , but never got around to stitching it for myself. I've wanted to for a really long time. Now to figure out what to make it into.

I am a happy wife of one and mother of three boys. I have been stitching and crafting for over 20 years. I am a full time student and am currently enjoying the summer off. July 4 Squares Received

April's squares arrived in today's mail. I love what she sent! I'm planning on finishing off the squares into a fob-like hanging ornament to use as part of my 4th of July decorations. She stitched the design with some really pretty variegated flosses.

And here is the entire exchange. The chart is by Sisters and Friends - and says "Housework makes you ugly", if you can't read it - is *perfect* for my house. ;-) And the skein of silk is a really pretty reddish-pink color...I'm sure it will be put to good use!

Thank you Vonna for allowing me to join the fair and square group. I am looking forward to participating and stitching something very soon.
I am 58 years old, have been married to my best friend for almost 36 years. We celebrate our anniversary on July 15th. I have been stitching off and on since 1980 when a friend taught me. Holiday 4th of July Received

Here are the wonderful squares I received today from Joan S! Aren't they terrific? I especially love the way Joan made the personalised square.

Here are all the wonderful goodies Joan included with the squares...she made a project bag and a tuck pillow, a tiny chicken pincushion, some teardrop floss holders and then sent some darling holiday ribbon and fabric, a cute heart-shaped pin and a little flag-painted bucket (good for ORTs!) a sample of lotion and some tasty York mints.

I have made the squares Jayne sent me into a little cushion. The back has little pockets for bobbins, scissors etc. (I definitely need to practise making tassels though *lol*). Jayne, thank you again for the lovely squares and material, I really enjoyed our exchange!

Hello all..

My name is Rachel and I am a cross stitch-a-holic. I cannot stop myself and I don't want to!! :O) I love collecting SALs and freebies too. They are just as addicting. I have been stitching since I was about 12-13 (so about 20+) years, off and on. I also scrapbook, basketweave, quilt and lots of other crafty stuff. I am married (16 yrs) and have 3 children. I have just found the world of smalls and am ready to jump right in. I just made my first Pinkeep this week--out of the MANY stitched pieces that have not found a home yet. I love looking at other's work and all the great creative minds that are out there..I am looking forward to chatting and exchanging. Sounds like a lot of fun!!

My name is Janien and I live in Belgium. I am 52 years young, allmost married for 30 years with Berre and we have two wonderful daughters (Lies and Sara). i was proffessor in the social high school but got cancer a while ago and now I am fighting against it and hope to win soon ... I have a lot of time now to do the things I really love such as cross stitch, quilt, writing, making cards, swapping, doing round robins and exchanges ...

Round 6 from Dani B Canada received

I received a lovely parcel from Dani in Canada when I got home from work last night.

The design is from The Drawn Thread web site. The pattern is a name tag and the stitching by Dani is excellent. Also in the parcel was a Just Cross Stitch Magazine which are harder to find in Australia now, plus some lovely threads and a low cal. chocolate bar (which I shared with my husband as soon as the photos were taken !!) Many thanks Dani for the beautifully stitched squares.

Fair and Square # 6 Received

I was so excited to receive my squares from Nicky on Saturday.

She also sent some fabric, buttons, rick rack and a note pad. I think
the fabric matches the squares real well. I will be using it when I finish
off the square.

The square was part of an LHN design. I just love it.
