I've been feeling a little under the weather lately so I didn't get these posted promptly, but Vonna knows that they arrived safely. These are my Round #7 squares from her. She sent a pack of needles and some beautiful floss to round out the package. Thank you Vonna!

Your squares are on their way! I mailed them out today - Friday, June 27th. Hopefully our little rural mail system is using the truck and not the horse and wagon, so they'll arrive soon...LOL!
Aren't the colors exciting!! :-)
Please remember that we:
Stitch on 32 ct. evenweave or linen ONLY
BOTH squares must be at least 6 inches SQUARE
Evenweave/fabric must be a neutral shade; nothing garish or heavily mottled
We mail ON TIME and if we don't then we notify our partner and our moderator
We POST to the board when mailing, receiving our squares and post a picture if possible - if we cannot post a picture then we notify our partner so they may post a picture
We label our posts at a minimum with our name (and initial if common first name), our partners name and the round number
We contact our partner and learn more about them
We stitch beautiful squares with our partner's requests in mind
We relax and have fun!

When you get a chance could you let me know where you found the design. Have a woderful time on Holiday. Let me know when you recieve your squares.
I received my lovely round 7 squares from Amy VM in FL. Thank you so much Amy and thank you for the great package that you put together for me. The soap and hand lotion smell great, the needleminder is wonderful, as is the cashew brittle.
Thanks again, Amy and thank you Vonna for setting up these exchanges.
The moderator of this round is: Jill F.
Remember to sign up for a round you must have "good" standing with the board (which means all exchanges have been sent and received by the individual - or you are in contact with Vonna about the status of the exchange).
New members may only sign up for one round until their first exchange round has been sent and received with no problems.

Today when I arrived home from work these squares
were waiting for me. They are from Sonda.
She also sent a piece of fabric and three skeins
of overdyed floss. I love the design and can't wait
to finish them off.
Thanks so much Sonda. I should have ironed the
fabric but just wanted to get them posted.
I have just joined this group, and already signed up for round 8 - and looking forward to it.
I am Rita from Budapest, Hungary, aged 32. We recently moved to a house (and love it!) with my "almost husband" and two sons (they are 5 and 3.5, and little devils, but I just love them). I am working as an independent auditor.
In my spare time I like to read, knit, cross-stitch and dance (salsa). I fell in love with exchanges through reading some marvellous blogs (Carol, especially), and am happy to be here with you.
We're now past the mail date for Round #7. I know many of us (myself included) have not mailed yet. I've heard from many of you - thank you!
Some I've not heard from - let's please remember to keep the lines of communication open. If you haven't mailed yet - no worries, but let's all try to get our squares in the mail soon and well before the 8th week deadline which is July 4th.
Thanks for your attention to this matter and for following our guidelines!
Round #8 will be closing Friday a.m. when the moderator turns on her computer for the day. Please check round information for details and sign up if you'd like to participate following the directions listed there.
Remember: this is the first round where we will be returning to the original rules of "no goodies" to be sent with the squares.
Thanks for participating!

Jenn, I do hope you like your package! I switched designs at the last minute; the "new" chart just jumped out at me.
It was a pleasure to stitch for you and I've thoroughly enjoyed being your partner.
Thank you, Vonna, for coordinating all of this for everyone!
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I received the most lovely squares from Michelle today.I am a very lucky swapper! This is my first swap and it has been great! Michelle opened up my eyes to the new world of Quaker motif and her work is extraordinary!
I'm mailing out your squares on Monday. I'm sorry I'm mailing late. My daughter went into the hospital last Sunday and the Dr's said she would be there only a few days and she is still there. I got to bring her home for a bit today so I could jump on the computer and let you know. Our post office is not open on the weekends. I'm sorry again that I'm mailing out late.

Your squares are going out on Monday the 23rd. I got the package all ready to mail, but it turned out I didn't have any out of Europe stamps and couldn't get to the PO in time to pick up new ones. It should take 7-10 days to reach you.
I mean how stunning are these squares?!
They are part of LHN School Girl piece stitched in this amazing red by Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe.
Thanks so much, Marie! You made my day.
I'd like to thank the following long-time members that took the challenge and Moderate for me:
- Jill F.
- Michele W.
- Joan S. (if I can talk her into it!)
We'll have a nicely ran exchange with these ladies helping me out. Thank you Ladies ;)
You'll notice that I've done some "rearranging" too....I've got our lists on a separate blog now instead of in the sidebar so that it is easier to read all the information pertaining to a certain round at one place and all grouped together. WE'll finish Round #7 and Celebrate Summer in the sidebar of this blog and then all the other rounds will be on the other blog which is linked to from this blog. You all still just post to this blog your squares, etc.
My e-mail has changed to: email@example.com please make sure that you use this e-mail now for anything regarding Fair and Square - my family e-mail was getting clogged up with requests etc for this and now with this e-mail just for Fair and Square I can locate everything quickly and what people told me etc. instead of relying on my own brain cells.
I've also added some more Holiday Rounds take a gander at the side bar under Round Dates Quick Reference for the dates of each specific round and then click on the links to get to the actual information about that round.
When you sign up for an exchange (WHEN IT IS OPEN) please contact the person that is listed as MODERATOR for that exchange.
Everything else will go to me as usual, except for the rounds that are being moderated by a specific moderator.
The RULES have been adjusted a bit...perhaps it would be good to take a look at those so that we can all be on the same page.
Thanks for your attention to these details and implementing them into your exchanging here!
She also sent me a fat quarter, a Homespun Elegance pattern and a package of buttons.
Thank you Heather! I am anxious to finish these.

Laura M. Round 7 F&S partner :)
I have decided that I need some time to myself to stitch rather than try to keep all my irons in one fire. So I'm going to ask you all if you'd help me out with moderating some exchanges. I need help with the upcoming rounds - Round #8 and Round #9.
Moderators will need to be a long standing member of Fair and Square - this could be defined as a member that has exchanged successfully at least 4 times on time. Your e-mail will be listed in the sidebar with the Round you are hosting for people to contact you to JOIN the round. You will be responsible for marking people as SENT or REC'd and keeping the list for the specific round you are moderating up to date.
Once the Round is closed for sign - ups you will be responsible for:
- pairing the partners
- publishing the partner list in a post and in the sidebar under the Participants list
- sending the partners address information to each participant
- updating the Member Profiles with partner name under "Previous Partners" so we can make sure partners are not duplicated
Moderators will be responsible for e-mailing the members who have not mailed on time at least weekly until the squares have been exchanged. Any problems should be turned over to Vonna and we together will make decisions and solve problems together.
INTERESTED? please e-mail Vonna privately at firstname.lastname@example.org please take some consideration with this, I need reliable, dependable people that are willing to put the same effort into it as I do. It's hard for me to let go, but I need help in a bad way. Thank you for your consideration and help in this matter. Sincerely, Vonna
We were doing really well on remembering to put all the "labels" on our posts...and I've noticed that in the last week or so we've gotten a bit sloppy on our labels and posting. Please remember to:
- Put your name and last initial that identifies you especially if you have a common first name
- On the labels of each post please put: Your Name; Your Partners Name; Round Number/Name
This may seem time consuming, but it helps me to track so that I don't have to look at lists of names trying to figure out who is who and what round we're talking about.
Thank you for your consideration to me when doing this...I appreciate it!

I bought some design software for cross stitch and I design my own for the summer celebration. I am kind of a geeky type so I have enjoyed this. Happy stitching to all.
I'm just trying to make it a little more manageable and have decided that I'm going to start limiting membership so that people that really DO want to exchange can have a forum to do so.
If you still want to exchange and are in good standing then there are no worries and no reason to drop out even if you want to exchange in the future....but if you no longer want to be a part of the group for whatever reason, just let me know and I'll get it taken care of.
Thanks go out to all of you for your continuted commitment and support of the exchange! We have a wonderful group of stitchers here and so many lovely squares being exchanged each month. I'm astounded at the beauty each consecutive round brings the members of this board. We've had some lovely squares of late!
