I got the most beautiful squares from Ruth on Wednesday. And she has really read my blog carefully. The design was a kitchen motive and the colours just my favourite purple and blue. Round #8 to Melita

Melita's computer is envirused, so I thought I'd pop up pictures of the squares I sent to her on her behalf.

I stitched the CHN ornament from the JCS ornament preview issue. Whatever you do, don't cut your fabric to the size recommended in the magazine. It will be too small!

A great big thanks to Vonna for my delightful squares! She certainly knows how to please a girl. Sadly no photo until tomorrow - my camera is still in pieces.

I've been trying to finish a couple of projects every week or two this summer to clear out the back log in my pile. It's always nicer to be appreciating the fruits of our efforts than letting them languish in the stack ;-).

Last night was my chance to get to the Summer Exchange squares I received from Heather M. in June. I love the colors for this project! I finished it as a little "book". It's in our guest bed room which is a bright sunshine yellow color, so it fits in perfectly. Thanks heather!

Yesterday I was very very unmotivated at work so I spent the day poking around on various people's stitching blogs so I could be motivated to stitch when I got home. I was out on Laura M's blog and noticed that she'd been out to Sturgis and became a slight bit envious ;-).

Lesley is on holiday this week so since we both have received our squares I thought I would post pics.

Here are the squares I sent her. Its a design by Country Cottage Needleworks taken from the JCS August 2006 issue. The chart is called Cottage Garden.


My squares arrived from Leslie over the weekend. I just love what she stitched. Its a freebie quaker design by Gencat. Lesley stitched it in my favorite color of red.

I returned home from my vacation to the most beautiful squares from Sandra G. Sandra, I love the blue!!! It has been a real delight and pleasure getting to know Sandra. A finished project

I've been cleaning out my craft space and decided it was time to work through a few of the projects waiting to be finished. Over the weekend I assembled an ornament from the wonderful squares that Katrina H sent to me in June. I'm quite happy with how it came out. I'm better at the Xing than the finishing, but I've been improving :-).
The square with her name and location info is on the back of the ornament. I can't wait to hang it up! Every time I jingle it the dog starts barking. Silly boy!
