BBD Squares from Pokua

june 27 - sorry so late!

So sorry to be so late in posting these...I received these beautiful squares from Shelley. She adapted two designs from the Stitcher's Journey book...Tulip Pincushion and Tulip House Stitching Companion. They are stitched on a light mocha with beautiful soft shades of floss. The photo does not do these squares justice...they are gorgeous in person and I just love them. Thanks again Shelley!

Sign-ups for Round #25 will be taken now through June 24. The Round will run from June 27 through August 8.

This will be a general theme round. You may check your partners profile for likes/dislikes and blog information.

Beautiful Squares from Sonda!

Round 24 ~ The designs were adapted from the BBD booklet Stitcher's Journey and were done over one using GAST and DMC threads. Being that I have not had the confidence to try over one very much, I am delighted with these two squares and can't wait to make them into an ornie to hang all year long! Thank you, Sonda.

Feast your eyes on this beautiful RED creation I received from Linda B~~~ It is just beautiful and I already think I know what vintage trim I may use on these squares...Don't you agree they are perfect together????  Linda tells me she took the pattern from the Honeysuckle Manor BBD Book and switched it up using my favorite red....Thank you so very much Linda...It will be displayed with honor in my red basket very soon!!!!

I received these lovely squares from Faye last week and just now able to post them. She chose The Prairie House from The Stitcher's Journey. The colors are so delicate - I love them! I'm hoping to start a basket of smalls for my bedroom and this beauty will be the first one in the basket. Thank you Faye.

I was so happy to receive these beautiful squares from Lynda for the Blackbird Designs round!

(Please excuse my horrible photography "skills". I don't know why the squares look so creased - the creases are barely noticeable in real life.)

Lynda used a DMC variegated floss, and the beautiful blues make this so delicate. I love my initial on the front square, and the cute bird on the back. Thank you so much, Lynda!

Thanks to Jill, too, for having this designer round. I don't know when I would have gotten around to stitching my first BBD stuff if it wasn't for her!

I have been remiss signing on to post about my squares from Marie. They arrived late last week and I absolutely love them. The most wonderful shade of pink, and I will get pictures and full details once I get home. Thank you Marie, your stitching is beautiful.

Round 24 Received from Nancy K.

These are the pretty "Summer" squares that I received from Nancy K.  The large motif is from "A Stitcher's  Companion," while the signature block motifs and letters are taken from "Pumpkin Blossom needle case."

The floss is hand-dyed perle cotton from the U.K., and it is stitched on 28ct. putty Cashel linen. I love the colors and I plan to make these into a needle book.
