Look at the lovely squares and the handmade card sent by Lany. I'm delighted!

My Squares came yesterday from Toni. So pretty. They came in a cute little valentine pouch that I will make very good use of. Thank you so much Toni!! I love them.

I had to add the last one where Murphy was inspecting and gave his approval of very beautiful stitching done by Toni.

I am working on yours Toni and will keep you posted as soon as I get them into the mail.

We're Baaaaaaack!

This exchange blog has been very neglected. I apologize if I have disappointed any of you. I just can't believe where the time goes! After starting a new job in August, here it is, the end of the year. And, yes, it seems like it went that fast.

Anyway, I am ready to get this going again. Are you?

Halloween Squares received

I received my lovely Halloween squares from Pam on Tuesday. She used lambswool linen and Belle Soie and HDF silks (one day I'll have silks) and took parts from different designs to create this one. I don't know if you can see, but the pumpkins, bats and owl are stitched over one, they are so cute IRL!

My squares from Karen arrived on Saturday, but I'm just now posting a pic.  Sorry for the quality I had to use my phone.  Karen tells me she adapted "Waiting for the Harvest" by Blackbird Designs and used GAST Onyx on "dirty" linen.  I recently saw just the perfect quilt fabric to use when I finish these cuties...now I just have to remember which quilt shop...  Thanks so much, Karen, I love them!

I'm so sorry, I did send your squares last Wednesday, but forgot to post here.  Hopefully they'll arrive soon and that you'll enjoy them as much as I enjoyed stitching them! 

Fellow exchangers, I did write to let Karen know her squares would be late.  It was my own fault for not getting them in the mail right when I finished them, but then came Labor Day weekend (here in the U.S.) and the entire weekend was belabored (get it??) with problems.  Not one, but two of our dogs were bitten by a very crabby copperhead snake.  Both are finally getting better every day now.  I learned many lessons through all this one of which was to not procrastinate!

Christine, BOTH sets of squares showed up this weekend. I was out of town helping DS#2 move to CA and came home to find TWO envelopes from you, apparently mailed weeks apart. I only opened the one mailed earlier and I love the squares. Thank you so much! I'll post pics later today or tomorrow for everyone to see. I received my squares yesterday from Milly D -- aren't they fun!  I love the witch and her black cat sailing through the night.  Thank you Milly for these lovely squares.   Now I have to hurry and get them finished into an ornament before October so it can be displayed with my other Halloween/Fall decorations.

Another Round

For quite some time now the Fair and Square participation has been diminishing. Less and less people are interested. I've tried different kinds of rounds and have tried to solicit new members. Plus, this last round did not go so well.

I am not sure right now where I will go with this. But I am going to try another round.

This next round will be a Halloween round. Signup is open now until July 20. The round will run from July 23 through September 3.

These are the squares I received from Ruth. Aren't they gorgeous? 

I had to finish them right away into a pin cushion. Usually I use the signature square on the back of the pillow but this time I placed them both on the front.
It would be a shame hiding this lovely apricot tree on the back.

This is my second international F&S exchange in a row, this time from Australia. I was paired up with Pokua who stitched me this beautiful piece (in my favorite color). She stitched it in honor of Debbie Draper, who sadly passed away in early April.

Round 29 to Becca

Hi ladies - Becca asked me to post a picture of the squares I did for her for this round. She mentioned in her profile that she liked Americana themed items, which aren't as available in Canada as they are in the States. And I had bought a cute pattern from Threadwork Primitives (Nan Lewis) a few months back that I was just itching to stitch. The results are below. Becca wrote that she received them and loves them - and that makes me happy and very glad to be part of this group of wonderful stitchers.Linda
