Fair Square 2010

The Christmas 2009 Round is the last Round for this year. Round #17 will be the first round in 2010 and signups for that will start on December 25.

Next year we are just going to have the 6 regular rounds and the 4 holiday rounds. This blog has 100+ members and the rounds have been averaging about 20 participants. I eliminated the seasonal rounds as they can be done in a regular round.

Christmas from Corinna

Even though there is no finishing requirement for the Fair & Square exchanges, Corinna and I agreed privately to do the finishing on our Christmas squares exchange. This way we can each enjoy them this year. :)



I received this gorgeous ornament from Corinna today. Her finishing is simply exquisite! I've decided to take it to work and use it as my cubicle stocking this year. I figure since I spend more time at work than at home, that way I can enjoy it more. LOL I'll bring home to put on my little tree here when I get off on Christmas Eve.

Round 16

I have recieved my squares from Jennifer. They are just beautiful she did a great job of choosing for me and her stitching is perfect. My camera is unavailable at the moment so I am hopeful that she can post a picture of them here for me. Thanks Jennifer I love them!

I just mailed mine to her today.....sorry for the delay they were stitched and ready to mail for sometime life just got in the way and I didn't get to the post office. Hope to hear they arrive to her soon.

Fall Round-Scrumptious

I couldn't have asked for better squares to be stitched for me. Sabine did a wonderful job. I love samplers and fall colors and these squares fit the bill. I cannot thank her enough for a wonderful exchange piece. The design is "Acorns and Owls" by Blue Ribbon Designs.

Round 15 From NadiaB

I received a really beautiful set of squares from NadiaB in the Netherlands about a month ago. My apologies! I sent her an email to let her know I'd received them and I posted to my blog, but forgot to post the photo to this blog. Here they are. The amazing thing is that it's a pattern from a 1968 Belgian magazine. What was old is new again! Thank you again Nadia. It will soon join it's friends in my basket of pinkeeps.

Brooke's Books Autumn Pantry

These lovely squares came all the way from Finland in a wonderful exchange with Daniela. Not only do I love the squares, but Daniela included a beautiful felted wool flower pin she made (it's going to look perfect on my winter wool coat) and a gorgeous handmade card. I always admire these handmade cards, and I've gotten some really cool ones through these exchanges.

A tiny part of me is a little envious of the talent these cardmakers have, but the realistic part of me knows I can't take on another hobby (and probably couldn't do it as nicely as some of you can anyway!) So instead, I will admire the ones I receive and see posted on other blogs, and restrict myself to drooling in the paper and card aisles at the craft store.

Very late pic post

I want to sincerely apologize to my exchange partners, Peg H. and Janice M. I've had their squares for quite some time, but between health issues and then my computer fried (if it's not one thing...) I haven't been able to uphold my part of the exchange agreement, and I sincerely, sincerely apologize to them both. Their squares are B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! And yes, I know they're sideways, but I'm on a borrowed computer that doesn't have my editing software. I can't figure out how to change the layout.

Just look at these. This first one is from Peg. I have this pattern on my To Do pattern pile (you know the one...it's currently stacked ceiling high in a corner of the living room, lol) and I love it. I'm wanting to start a Holiday Wall, where I can hang themed designs and change it out throughout the year. So here is my very first Halloween themed square. I'm so going to get it framed and hang it on my very bare wall. lol



And this is Janice's design. Isn't this pretty? I've got a church right across the street that looks almost exactly like this!
