Finish from Summer Round

Inspired by Heather Daly of Monsterbubbles, I decided to use cork for this one. It's attached by little brads left over from my scrapbooking days, and I stuck two large eyelets in the hole to hang it with. The squares were made by Martha B, who designed the plover herself.

Celebrate Summer squares from Martha

Martha from Australia not only stitched these squares for me, she designed the bird from a photo she took of the "pipers that feed along the surf line at our beach." This is so special, since it's so unique and so representative of Martha. The shiny package - due to the flash - is a sand castle embellishment for scrapbooking.

Squares for Cyndi

I have sent my summer squares for Cyndi H. In my rush I did not get a decent picture but I will post the one I did get when she receives it if she cannot. I have enjoyed doing these swaps but I feel inferior to the fine artists I have received from. My design for this round is original and comes from the ocean where I live and love to watch the birds along the shore.

I am working feverishly to finish my square for Cyndi in CA. I have started over three times! I hope to have it in the mail by tomorrow. Phew!

I bought some design software for cross stitch and I design my own for the summer celebration. I am kind of a geeky type so I have enjoyed this. Happy stitching to all.
