Round 11 Received from Bridget C

These are are lovely squares I received from Bridget. The words were very special as we have all been feeling so low with the devastation from the bush fires. It has made us aware of just how precious life is. There is still smoke around - seems it is just trying to remind us of the lives lost, our native animals and the bushland that will take a long time to recover.

Postal between Australia and U.S.A. by air mail should only take between 7 - 10 days. Is anyone else having delays with the postal service? Marg

Round 9 squares received from Shelley

My squares from Shelley arrived safely and I was thrilled to receive them as Shelley has been quite ill and had advised me of the delay. Unfortunately she will not be continuing with this exchange for the time being. The stitching on the squares I received is superb. The design is from Little House Needlework - currently my favourite designers.

This is the square I sent Shelley which she was unable to send a photo to the board. Unfortunately I cannot find where I took a photo of the second square with my name on it. Perhaps I forgot. I enjoyed stitching this design from The Prairie Schooler.

Marg F stitched me these squares and this is the second time in a month I have been called a special stitcher. **Grins** Suzanne made me a lovely pillow with this design, and with Marg's squares, I see a needlebook to match in my future. She sent me a couple skeins of silk floss and a lovely small Just Nan chart as well. Thank you very much Marg!!!

I received these lovely squares from Sonda plus a beautiful beaded scissor fob. Unfortunately the photo is of poor quality and does not show how delicate the colours really are. Round 7 Squares from Vanessa

These are the lovely bright squares I received from Vanessa. They arrived on a very dull winters day so it was wonderful to have a nice surprise parcel to undo. The extra goodies, fabric square, needles, snowman kit and tissue holder were much appreciated. Vanessa has received the squares I sent her but was having some problems uploading the photos and I think she may now be on vacation. At least I know they arrived safely after travelling to the other side of the world.

Round 6 from Dani B Canada received

I received a lovely parcel from Dani in Canada when I got home from work last night.

The design is from The Drawn Thread web site. The pattern is a name tag and the stitching by Dani is excellent. Also in the parcel was a Just Cross Stitch Magazine which are harder to find in Australia now, plus some lovely threads and a low cal. chocolate bar (which I shared with my husband as soon as the photos were taken !!) Many thanks Dani for the beautifully stitched squares.
