Look at the other goodies Karen sent - a sweet "Pactrick's Lucky Day" pattern and 5 skeins of pretty green floss, a cool emory board and simply delicious West Australian wildflower honey and ginger toffee. If you look closely at the picture you will see that two pieces of the toffee have already been eaten. DH & I just couldn't resist. It is YUMMY!!!!

Round 5 for Karen K
Please accept my apologies for cutting it toooo close this round. The name square was finally completed today and I will be going to the post office tomorrow to mail the envelope to Australia. It was so much fun stitching this square by one of my favortie designers and I hope you like it too Karen.
Vonna, I am sorry that I am going to have to miss the next round. There are a number of gifts that I feel need to be stitched as soon as possible. After that is done I hope to be back to this wonderful exchange.

Thank you Georgie
What a fun mail day - I received my fair squares all the way from Australia. They are so pretty Georgie and stitched in one of my very favorite colors. The sparkle from the beads is such a neat effect.Georgie also sent two postcards one of which (the bottom one on the image) shows where she lives, some lovely pink floss and Rose and Carnation Bath Melts which smells wonderful.
Thank you so much Georgie. I will be saving these lovely squares for my friendship quilt.

Tossing for Georgie
Time to share my toss floss for Georgie as I will be starting her Fair Square tomorrow.
Georgie shared things she likes and I have picked out a number of them to combine into her square. She likes antiques/Americana and I personally think that floss with the name 'Old Red Paint' certainly fits the bill. Other things she likes which I hope to incorporate into the square are: birds, hearts and samplers.

Thank you Hannah
Yesterday I received my squares from Hannah. Aren't they adorable? How did you know I love house patterns Hannah? They are going to look lovely as part of the friendship quilt I am planning.
Not only did Hannah stitch these lovely squares for me she also sent along goodies - the 'Autumn Arches' pattern which I hope to start early next year and some lovely WDW threads. I feel very spoiled.
Thank you so much for everything Hannah. It has been such a pleasure having you for my Fair & Square partner.

Squares Received from Margaret G
I received my squares from Margaret G on Tuesday. She stitched French Country IV Pumpkin for me from JBW Designs. It goes perfectly with the other two autumn themed squares I have received. She also sent along two charts from Lizzie*Kate (which I hope to stitch soon=)).

Thanks again, Margaret! I can't wait to turn these into a cube :)

Mail from Maastricht
Are others having problems uploading images. I have been trying for days to show you the lovely squares Annemarie stitched for me in Round 2 but Blogger refuses. Yes you are reading correctly - Round 2. Annemarie and I mailed our squares on the same day hoping they would also arrive on the same day, but I guess the US mail thought these were just too pretty and considered keeping them. Finally last Thursday someone decided to be kind and Annemarie's package was in our mailbox.
The squares are absolutely perfect from one Dutch person to another. The front is a Delft Blue tile of a tulip - what could be more Dutch? On the back Annemarie stitched not only her name, city and the year but decorated the corners with a pretty design of her own. Along with the squares she sent me one of her now famous floss rings with Wildflowers 'Firecracker' floss (red/white/blue - the colors of the Dutch flag) and the cutest card with a hilarious poem by Hans Kuyper. DH got quite a chuckle out of that too.
Thank you so much Annemarie. I thoroughly enjoyed stiching this exchange with you and know I have made a new friend. Someday we will meet in person and I am looking forward to that day.
I will keep on trying to post a picture in the coming days.

Margaret's squares for moi
I'm a little late in posting these pics (I've been lazy and busy, a dreadful combination), but here are the squares that Margaret G stitched for me!

Aren't they beautiful? Margaret chose this design because I translate romantic novels and she thought this 'Ladye of the Castle' would be just right for me. You're right Margaret, I love it! If you hadn't stitched these squares for me, I would have stitched the design myself :o)

Here it comes Annemarie!!!
It is 10:00 a.m. PT on Friday September 7 and I just got home from the Post Office. I'm on time for mailing Round 2!!!!
Your Fair Squares are on their way Annemarie. I had so much fun stitching for you. Of course now I hope that the theme will be evident when you see the squares but if not I'll clarify.
Vonna, thanks for signing me up for the third round. I'm looking forward to the challenge of choosing something to match my next partner.
