Little pillow ornies

I was inspired by Daniela's post to do a little finishing over the weekend.  The plan was to get all 4 of my squares converted into little pillows but I only managed to complete 3 of them.

My Beautiful Squares From Nancy!

The photo doesn't do Nancy's stitching justice as she used two beautiful reds and just a dash of white to really make it all pop!  They're gorgeous in person and I can't wait to stitch them together into an ornament!  Thank you so much Nancy!

I received the most beautiful squares yesterday from Christine - this is one of my favorite colors to see stitched, and I love the birds she stitched, from BBD's Christmas Garden book, with a change in the wording to personalize it. She even included a card with a pair of birds. Thank you so much, Christine.

I have been remiss in adding my squares - I work with computers all day, but the posting of pictures seems to always befuddle me! I love this BBD design, and the pink in the house is beautiful, stitched on Marcy's own tea stained linen. I love them!

The designer is Barrick Designs and the pattern is the Five Birds Sampler.  The main thread is a Needle Necessities lovely that is currently called Cherry Cola by the folks at Threadworx.  The whole  thing is just perfect -- I love it!

I love these squares, the colors Pam stitched with are wonderful and I am looking forward to finishing this as an ornament and finding the perfect Halloween branch to hang it from.

Round 26 - Squares from Nancy K!

Thank you, Nancy!! What a lovely surprise to find this lovely Celtic design stitched in such a beautiful silk thread in the big pile of mail picked up after a long weekend away. The delectable shades of autumn are much deeper and richer in person. I'm sure we'll all want to know the name of this new silk thread when you have a second, Nancy, if you please.

I came home a wonderful package - my squares from Pam. Pam, your presentation is so beautiful, showing a care for your stitching that I hope to begin using in my future exchanges. They were sent perfectly flat, wrapped in tissue paper and protected inside a plastic page protector. My squares are a wonderful collection of Halloween motifs, in the most beautiful colors. I want to take pictures in the daylight, to show the great colors you used, so I will post this weekend.

I apologize also, because I missed the 10/3 deadline, and put your squares in the mail yesterday. I am so sorry to be mailing late, I was not watching the calendar as I should have been.

My son borrowed our camera to take on a family vacation. After many reminders it was returned. Note to self: No more camera loaning! :) I took a pic and popped them in the mail this morning. This is my first exchange and I admit I'm a bit nervous...

Blocks from Marie W.

I have been remiss signing on to post about my squares from Marie. They arrived late last week and I absolutely love them. The most wonderful shade of pink, and I will get pictures and full details once I get home. Thank you Marie, your stitching is beautiful.

Round 24 Received from Nancy K.

These are the pretty "Summer" squares that I received from Nancy K.  The large motif is from "A Stitcher's  Companion," while the signature block motifs and letters are taken from "Pumpkin Blossom needle case."

The floss is hand-dyed perle cotton from the U.K., and it is stitched on 28ct. putty Cashel linen. I love the colors and I plan to make these into a needle book.

I had an envelope waiting for me yesterday from Marie, and I opened it to find a wonderful Prairie

Schooler witch flying past the moon, and her signature square is great stitched over one with little bats flying over her name. I love what you stitched, Marie - it is perfect for me. Unfortunately, I cannot post a picture at this time because the computer that has Photoshop doesn't have internet access and the computer that has access doesn't have a photo program. Marie, do you have a picture?

Halloween Round Arrived

I just opened an envelope from Nancy K. and found the most wonderful Halloween blocks inside:

Nancy stitched the design using Tentakulum variegated thread called "Halloween" and WDW "Twilight" floss for the cat.

4th of July Square from Linda B.

I came home last night to a wonderful package from Linda! She stitched me LHN's Stars and Stripes, which is a design I've been wanting for a long time. Thank you so much Linda, I love it. It was dark when I opened the package and so was not able to get a picture taken. I will take care of this this afternoon.

Merry Christmas To Me!

I received this in the mail yesterday and was ECSTATIC! Nancy K. put thought into my stitched piece. I love samplers, birds, trees, the color red and Christmas. The design is from the 2000 JCS ornament issue from Merry Cox Samplers. She stitched it all into one piece and it was on my list of "To Do One Day". I cannot thank her enough. She made my Christmas Merry & Bright. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
