Jayne N--round 7 squares, sent and recieved

Hi, Jayne! I recieved your lovely squares yesterday. So pretty! Purple and cows are my fave things. These will look fabulous in my purple office (which is decorated with cows of course!). Thanks also for the cute fabric and embellishments; they'll make perfect accessories! It's perfect. :)
This morning, I finally got your squares in the post! Sorry for the delay. Feeling much better with this new round of antibiotics.
Happy stitching!

Ruth B, 4th of July round

Yay! A fabulous package came to me this week from Ruth. What a pretty set of squares! Love the colors, the perfect replica of my one day dream house. Ruth also spoiled me with fabric, fibers, and some fun pencils to mark my graduation (2 years down an 2 to go!). Thanks, Ruth, for all the lovely chats we've had. It's been great; hope we can keep in touch?

Cool new look and round #7

Hi, Vonna! Love the new look for the blog--very snazzy! The last few weeks of school are insanely hectic, but soon it will be summer! (Personally, I'd settle for a real spring in MN) When you have the time, could you please sign me up for Rounds 7 and 8?

Hope you're having a ball with your kids. Can't fathom how in the world you manage it all so well!

Pretty stitches from Chris B.!

Yesterday I recieved a fun package from Chris! She stitched a beautiful baby bird ornie, exactly the one I had hoped to stitch for myself! Will load a pic when the spouse gives up the camera. :)

Received from Teresa S.

Look what I received from Teresa -- my round 5 squares, Sampler Threads, a kitchen towel and the cutest little canvas bag. I love the squares you stitched, love the design and the colors you used. Thank you very much.

And... it's taken me a couple more days to get your squares finished. Was hoping to have them in the mail today, but not quite. I have about an hour's left of stitching and they will be done. I'll post on Monday when they have been mailed.

Hooray for the red, white, and blue!

Vonna,

Please sign me up for the 4th of July round. This is one of my fave holidays and am very into Americana. Arrah! (go Marines)

Chris B--watch your mail!

Morning from icy Minnesota! Your box will go out today--hope you like them. This was definately a comedy of errors project. It's a free chart from the Aurel blog, which has taught me to proofread freebie charts before stitching them! The chart has a lot of mistakes and I added many of my own so her wouldn't feel bad about being there. Of course when I packed everything in the box, I didn't have tape and couldn't find the address! The light dusting of snow has quickly turned into many inches and now ice. I don't "do" ice, so will send the hubby to the postoffice one we're plowed out.

Wishing I was nice and warm like you,

teresa

Vonna, spacey stitcher needs help!

Dork that I am, I've lost my partner's snail mail and email addy. Her (chris B) blog has been pretty quiet, so she might not see a post from me. Need to get my swap out in the mail.

It did arrive - a little late letting people know!

My fair and square did arrive and I have been a little bit of a slack bum in not posting that it did! I'm preparing for a trip overseas (3 days to go!) and have been far too busy and stressed with work.

Teresa - I thought the squares you sent me were lovely and sweet and will email you when I get a chance!

It was such a pleasure being involved in this exchange, and will definitely sign up for another later in the year, when my worklife has slowed down!

Random thoughts from a frozen Minnesotan..........

As I've been watching all the beautiful and creative squares come in, I've been making a mental stash list for the charts I'd like to stitch for me! Maybe we could start adding the designer and pattern name, if known, when we post pics? Vonna, what do you think?

Back to wishing I was in the Bahamas.............

Package from down under!!

After a long (12 hours!) day of classes, what a wonderful surprise to come home to--a fun filled box from Australia! Stacey sent me the cutest pic of a koala bear--how cute! She also sent some yummy chocs (timtams are sublime!). Best of all, of course, are her lovely squares! Cows are my "thing" and this one is just too cute. Beautifuly done, too! Haven't decided how I will finish it, but it will go in my purple cow office for sure. Thanks, Stacey! Hope you get my box soon.

Next round

Vonna,

Please sign me up for round 5! Even though school really keeps me hopping, this has been fun. I'm going to try one while the new term is in session and see how it goes.

Teresa

Stacey, your squares are headed to Australia!

Morning, Stacey! Your box is on it's first leg of a very long trip. Wonder how long it takes to get all the way to Australia?? I do hope you like them. The design is very simple, but fit your favorite color so well I had to stitch it! Wish I could send some of our chilly weather to cool you down. :)
