I'm Delighted with my Squares!

I had a mystery package drop through my door yesterday, and boy was I ever delighted with its contents! Look at these simply stunning squares that Annemarie stitched for me:

They are a design by Christiane Dahlbeck and Annemarie couldn’t have chosen better – I absolutely LOVE them – I can’t wait to finish them into a special…well, I haven’t quite decided what yet, but definitely something special! She also included a bag of yummy loose tea and a sweet postcard – I’m going to have to ask her about the fairytale of the root children as that’s not one I’m familiar with. Thanks again Annemarie, I truly am delighted!

Thank You Marie!

Marie was a real sweetie and volunteered to stitch me a square for round four after my partner crapped out on me and didn't reciprocate the exchange. I wasn't expecting Vonna or anyone to replace what I didn't get but I'm real greatful!

Not only did Marie stitch me these beautiful squares but she threw in some lovely extras as well. Thank you Marie for stepping up when someone woudln't follow through.

I hope they show up here computer is acting up, but here are the squares i sent to Pam E. I guess i only scanned the one piece not my signature page. DUH. Hopefully Pam will have a pic.

Thank You Michelle - Wa.

I received my squares from Michelle in WA this past Friday. Michelle your stitching is beautiful and thank you for the stash you sent along with it. I really like the design you choose - I stitched this one for another exchange and loved the design. Now I have one for my own collection. Can't wait to make something with them - probably a pinkeep or something like that. I'll post pictures once it's completely finished :)

BEAUTIFUL FROM SUE W.

Sue W. sent this a while back. The pictures were taken and somehow my camera was placed in a very special secret hiding place. Much to my delight, today the camera came out of its very special secret hiding place. Now everyone may feast their eyes upon this beautiful work of art.

First a picture before anything was opened. The anticipation was just too much. Wrapped in red and green for Christmas.

Opening the package was so much fun. This picture is of all the wonderful things Sue sent to me....the chocolate is so yummy.

Here is a close up of the stitching. Her stitching is perfect.

I am thanking Sue from the bottom of my heart for all the thought she put into this. Also Thank you for all the wonderful goodies. It is very kind of you.

Happy Stitching Hugs, Kathy R.

Karen D. Your wonderful squares arrived this a.m.!

Dear Karen, You couldn't have chosen better squares for me! And your stitching is so perfect. You also were sooooo generous in the lovely things you sent along. I will be making a needle book or pinkeep. It's my first piece of Silkweaver fabric so I will definately be looking for the perfect design to use. As soon as I can get a picture taken I will post it . Again, thank you. Pam E.

It did arrive - a little late letting people know!

My fair and square did arrive and I have been a little bit of a slack bum in not posting that it did! I'm preparing for a trip overseas (3 days to go!) and have been far too busy and stressed with work.

Teresa - I thought the squares you sent me were lovely and sweet and will email you when I get a chance!

It was such a pleasure being involved in this exchange, and will definitely sign up for another later in the year, when my worklife has slowed down!

Hannah's fabulous squares are here!

I received my F & S squares from Hannah and they are truly fabulous! She used a winter wonderland design from Bent Creek ~ I absolutely love it. She also included some great extras, including two Workbasket patterns that I am SO anxious to stitch! Thanks so very much Hannah. Because I am still in VT I am unable to post pictures, but promise to do so when I arrive home early next week.

Many, many thanks Hannah! :)

Squares from Louise

Louise - Thank you so much for the absolutely gorgeous squares! It was dark last night when I got home, and the lighting was horrible, so I don't have any pictures to post yet. The wait and the mess with the post office was well worth it for the beauties you sent me.

Edit: Ok, I finally took some pictures yesterday. Look at these gorgeous blocks Louise sent me.

Look what I received today

I received Lin's package containing my squares for round 4. Here's a picture:

I love the squares Lin. And love the floss you included. Now to decide how I'm going to finish them (maybe I'll try a pinkeep).

Thanks again Lin!!!

Thank you Georgie

What a fun mail day - I received my fair squares all the way from Australia. They are so pretty Georgie and stitched in one of my very favorite colors. The sparkle from the beads is such a neat effect.

Georgie also sent two postcards one of which (the bottom one on the image) shows where she lives, some lovely pink floss and Rose and Carnation Bath Melts which smells wonderful.

Thank you so much Georgie. I will be saving these lovely squares for my friendship quilt.

My Squares have arrived!!

I was so excited today when I returned home from work.
There was my package from Willeke from the Netherlands.

I received the design from Waxing Moon--Winter Cardinal.

I just love them. She also sent some goodies.

Thanks so much Willeke. I will post it again when I get it
finished off.

A parcel all the way from Australia...

It was a wonderful mailday again. Karen stitched me these beautiful squares in the Fair and Square-exchange and they look just like me... Purple colour and kitchen motive! You have read my blog real carefully, Karen! I love the goodies too; a card made with the punch-needle technique, some silk-yarn and a piece of fabric which I knew directly where to use. Thank you so much!
