Fair & Square finishes

I bought myself a new sewing machine just a few weeks ago and finally started turning my received Fair& Square pieces into finished objects. I've decided to finish them all into little pin cushions and display them together with my ostrich egg in a big basket. This basket is centered on my living room coffee table. It makes me smile every time when I pass by that basket and remember all those great exchanges I had (and still have) in this group.

Summer Round and Round 14 received

The Summer Round from Malinda and the Round #14 from Kathy arrived sometime during this week. I was on a short vacation and when I came back I found lots of beautiful squares in the mail. And I love them all.

Sonda (in OR). Check out these pretty squares. These are the prettiest squares! Sonda, thank you! She included 3 skeins of Wildflowers floss, some pretty fabric and a tin of Altoids. I'll have a few days before I go back to work so I'm planning on have a finishing marathon when I return from my trip...... I've already got a technique picked out :) The pattern is called "Thanks a Bunch" by Just Nan.

Yesterday, I got a package from Malinda B. Boy was that fast. Aren't these just lovely??? I am very happy with them. I imagine they will become a pinkeep! Maybe I'll even get them finished up before this 4th of July!!!

I received these beautiful squares from Melissa in CA yesterday! I just love them!! Thank you so much Melissa. The design is just perfect - I'm trying to decide how to finish the squares. I've been toying with the idea of making wooden flossy holders and I think this would be a great design for the center (front and back). The design is "Tiny Little Quaker" by Papillon Creations; stitched with NN Painted Desert. I love over-dyed fibers (my weakness) :)

Forgot to mentioned the goodies Melissa sent along. She included a skein of NN Painted Desert and one of the new Just Nan patterns - Florentine Floral. I really love it.

I received my squares from Michelle in WA this past Friday. Michelle your stitching is beautiful and thank you for the stash you sent along with it. I really like the design you choose - I stitched this one for another exchange and loved the design. Now I have one for my own collection.
