I.Love.Red.! Shelly picked out a great red for someone who's never stitched a red piece before. She adapted the design Petits Maisons Rouges by Tralala and used Belle Soie "Tulip." It's a perfect piece for me Shelley since I love red, saltbox houses, french designs and silks! Thank you so much for a lovely round.

The pattern is by Chatelaine Designs. I have actually always wanted to stitch this little freebie, so it was a perfect choice! The stitching is perfect and delicate, and my pic doesn't do justice to the lovely colors and sparkle.

june 27 - sorry so late!

So sorry to be so late in posting these...I received these beautiful squares from Shelley. She adapted two designs from the Stitcher's Journey book...Tulip Pincushion and Tulip House Stitching Companion. They are stitched on a light mocha with beautiful soft shades of floss. The photo does not do these squares justice...they are gorgeous in person and I just love them. Thanks again Shelley!

I was so happy to receive these beautiful squares from Lynda for the Blackbird Designs round!

(Please excuse my horrible photography "skills". I don't know why the squares look so creased - the creases are barely noticeable in real life.)

Lynda used a DMC variegated floss, and the beautiful blues make this so delicate. I love my initial on the front square, and the cute bird on the back. Thank you so much, Lynda!

Thanks to Jill, too, for having this designer round. I don't know when I would have gotten around to stitching my first BBD stuff if it wasn't for her!

These are the squares I received from Shelley P. I absolutely love them, especially the crab motif on the front, and the fish and seaweed on the bottom. Shelley's stitching is just beautiful, and I can't wait to finish these up as a no-sew cube for our living room. I think they'll be a nice match to the lighthouse squares I received last year from Marie P.

I really like this square - super sparkly and festive! Sadly, I can't locate the specific info Shelley included as to the pattern.

I received the most awesome squares from Kaje! I've seen this Mill Hill pattern around, and always loved it, and I'm so grateful Kaje was willing to do all that solid stitching and beading! The picture doesn't show how sparkly and shiny it is. I can't wait to finish this into something beautiful!

Yesterday I received a gorgeous set of squares from Shelley P. We were a little worried because they took a little longer than usual to get here, but its all JoY now. Beautiful! Thank you, Shelley.

Round 9 squares received from Shelley

My squares from Shelley arrived safely and I was thrilled to receive them as Shelley has been quite ill and had advised me of the delay. Unfortunately she will not be continuing with this exchange for the time being. The stitching on the squares I received is superb. The design is from Little House Needlework - currently my favourite designers.

This is the square I sent Shelley which she was unable to send a photo to the board. Unfortunately I cannot find where I took a photo of the second square with my name on it. Perhaps I forgot. I enjoyed stitching this design from The Prairie Schooler.

Halloween, Round 9, and Autumn Round

Here are the Beautiful squares I RECEIVED from Marion today for Round 9. Thank you their beautiful and what adorable sheep. :)

I also RECEIVED my Autumn squares from Wendy Jo. Thank you Wendy Jo, they make me think of the wind and those falling leaves. :) I also have SENT your Autumn round out today.

I noticed to that Shelley was marked as received so I thought I would post the squares I had SENT to her. Its an ornament from the JCS Halloween issue. :)
