Finish from Summer Round

Inspired by Heather Daly of Monsterbubbles, I decided to use cork for this one. It's attached by little brads left over from my scrapbooking days, and I stuck two large eyelets in the hole to hang it with. The squares were made by Martha B, who designed the plover herself.

Summer round, Michele W to Nicky

Michele has stitched me these lovely squares (which took ages to fly from USA to Australia- they could almost have walked here faster!!)

They are just adorable and the tiny weeny bird buttons add such a special touch.

I've been trying to finish a couple of projects every week or two this summer to clear out the back log in my pile. It's always nicer to be appreciating the fruits of our efforts than letting them languish in the stack ;-).

Last night was my chance to get to the Summer Exchange squares I received from Heather M. in June. I love the colors for this project! I finished it as a little "book". It's in our guest bed room which is a bright sunshine yellow color, so it fits in perfectly. Thanks heather!

Squares rec'd Round #8 & summer squares

Here are the pics of my squares rec'd for Round #8 from Jeannie C. They are gorgeous in bright funky colors that i LOVE! I have already started the border so i can make this into a biscournu.



Also, here is my pic of my summer round from Sue W. that i never got a pic of until now. Not sure how I am going to finish this one yet, probably a pinkeep but just not sure yet.

Celebrate Summer squares from Martha

Martha from Australia not only stitched these squares for me, she designed the bird from a photo she took of the "pipers that feed along the surf line at our beach." This is so special, since it's so unique and so representative of Martha. The shiny package - due to the flash - is a sand castle embellishment for scrapbooking.

Celebrate Summer from Rowyn

Here are pictures of what I stitched for Laura M. It's The Trilogy's Summer Tree.
And here's what Laura M stitched me! It's by The Cricket Collection but the name escapes me. She finished it into a basket lid with her signature lining the bottom. I have it in my second stitching corner (that's slowly growing) and as soon as I wake up it's there looking at me :-) I know it was a summer exchange but I *luv* that she stitched me a Halloween piece because I wanted to throw a Halloween Party in July but couldn't but when the package came I had my own little Halloween Party in July when I did a happy dance after opening the package!
