I just checked the mailbox and found this beautiful ornament from Melissa.
What a fun Christmas afternoon surprise.....it is hanging center stage on the tree!
Everyone here loves it...lots of ooohs and ahhs

Melissa and I agreed to finish our squares as an extra treat.

Christmas from Corinna

Even though there is no finishing requirement for the Fair & Square exchanges, Corinna and I agreed privately to do the finishing on our Christmas squares exchange. This way we can each enjoy them this year. :)



I received this gorgeous ornament from Corinna today. Her finishing is simply exquisite! I've decided to take it to work and use it as my cubicle stocking this year. I figure since I spend more time at work than at home, that way I can enjoy it more. LOL I'll bring home to put on my little tree here when I get off on Christmas Eve.

Summer round for April

April posted that she received the squares I sent to her, but mentioned she has out of town guests and hasn't had time to post a pic. She said I could feel free to post a picture of the squares I sent to her, so here it is:



As I mentioned in the note I sent to April, I realize these squares would have fit for the patriotic exchange as well. When I think of summer though, I always think of the patriotic summer holidays of Memorial Day and Independence Day. So, stitching this patriotic Quaker heart freebie design by Aury was perfect for me. I stitched them using Belle Soie silk.

I never heard from Claudia whether or not she received the squares I sent to her for Round 13. Sadly, nor did I receive any squares from her. Corinna has stepped in and graciously agreed to stitch replacement squares for me. In the meantime, Jill said I should go on and share a pic of what I sent to Claudia so others could see it.

Have you received the squares I mailed to you for Round 13? It's been a couple of weeks already, but I've not heard if you received them or not. After Sabine's getting lost in the mail in the Christmas exchange, I'm a little gun shy now. LOL

Also, if you mailed squares to me (I didn't see any indication on the Round 13 page), I've not yet received them. I'm heading out of town Sunday on vacation and will be gone for about 10 days. Unless they arrive today or tomorrow, I won't be able to update again to let you know they've arrived until after I'm back home and pick up my held mail.

I received these beautiful squares today from Sabine for the Christmas exchange. I just adore Prairie Schooler designs, so it's perfect for me, Sabine! I love how you repeated Santa's hat on your name square, too. Thank you so much!!



My squares to you are in the mail, but I'm not sure how long it will take for them to make it over there since the U.S. has a postal holiday this week. Hopefully they will be there soon. :-)

I'm so glad you like the squares! You are correct, the design is from Bent Creek. They are an adaptation of the November Twirls chart. I just recharted it to say "Autumn" instead of "November". I completely forgot to take a photo of the Hawaiian postcard I included, but here is a pic of the squares.

I received these beautiful squares from Melissa in CA yesterday! I just love them!! Thank you so much Melissa. The design is just perfect - I'm trying to decide how to finish the squares. I've been toying with the idea of making wooden flossy holders and I think this would be a great design for the center (front and back). The design is "Tiny Little Quaker" by Papillon Creations; stitched with NN Painted Desert. I love over-dyed fibers (my weakness) :)

Forgot to mentioned the goodies Melissa sent along. She included a skein of NN Painted Desert and one of the new Just Nan patterns - Florentine Floral. I really love it.
