Round 10

Sara S and I were partners for round 10 - my first ever F & S exchange. With Sara's permission, I'm posting both sets of squares now that they have arrived safely. My squares to Sara are a LHN design and Sara's to me are from a French website. I'm going to make a pinkeep with my squares.

Round 10 and Christmas Round

My camera needs new batteries, so no pictures for now! :) But I did receive both my squares and I just love them! :) My Christmas square should have been received by now and my Round 10 will go in the mail tomorrow!

I mailed to Rita in Hungary for Round 8. :) We've had fun talking on emails, can't wait for her to get the squares! I mailed right on the deadline, I don't know how long it takes to get to Hungary.. we'll see! When the mail lady said, "this package is going to Hungary?" My youngest, Luke-8yr., died with laughter! Guess he had never heard of that country before! Guess he heard it as 'hungry" :)

KarenD's squares for me!

I was spoiled today! Not only did I get lovely squares from Karen, but look at everything else she sent me! Some gorgeous Silkweavers fabric, a really neat LHN pattern: Moon and Stars, great backing fabric, a neato plastic card holder that I had been obsessing over (how did she know that?) and some great WDW thread. Plus a magnet and a postcard that immediately was claimed by my ten year old for his postcard collection!

On the back of WDW I read their address as Raleigh Rd in Fuquay-Varina, NC. I mapquested the address and it is less than TWO BLOCKS from where I live?! Seriously! They must have moved, because I would have noticed before hand if they lived in my bitty town of Fuquay! :) So I got thread from Arizona, that was probably made right behind my house! I'm going to do a drive-by tomorrow!:)

I received my square today: hand delivered to the door by my mailman! She really spoiled me and I am thrilled with everything she sent me! I will post a picture later today!

I rec'd a lovely package from Sara S. yesterday. Here are my squares a extra goodies. She also stitched me a scissor fob with the same bird from the square and my initial on the other side of it. Thank you sooo much Sara! hugs, karen

What is the stitch count of your pattern?

I'm in the middle of my very first square exchange and this is so much fun! :) I love the pattern I finally settled on! Since we are all using the same size of fabric and same thread count, I was wondering what the average size of the pattern is that you use on the square?! Thanks Sara

Round Six question

Hi! I was just wondering if people usually mailed early? Or do you wait until the actual day, the 25th for my round... or does it really matter? :)

Just wanted to introduce myself! :) I found your site a while ago through a bunch of blog links and finally decided to join in the fun! Looks like you all have a great time together! I've signed up for round 6! Can't wait!

I'm 32, been married 13 years this summer. I've been cross-stitching forever it seems like! I love huge projects: Angel of Cross Stitch, Marbek Nativity, Mothers Tree--stuff like that. But I love the smaller stuff when I need a break or a quick stitch! :)

I have two boys, 10 and 8! Where has the time gone? My older one starts middle school next year!
