JBW Designs French Country Bunny

A non no-sew cube finish - YAY!!!  This was from my very first F&S Exchange with Michele.  It might have taken six years, but it did make it to our tree this past Christmas.

Round 8, 9 and Halloween!

First off I want to apologise to Staci and Diane for taking so long to get the pictures of their beautiful squares up. I was delighted with all of them and have had them hanging up while i decide what to do with them! No that I've finally got passed the exhaustion of early pregnancy I'm trying to catch up on some long overdue jobs!
Diane stitched this one so that it could be easily turned into a needleroll and now that I have found out what that is I think that will be my next project! I love the 3 dimensional effect of buttons and varied stitching! Thanks so much!

Staci sent this square for the Halloween round and since I love cats it was highly appropriate! Not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet but I'm sure the inspiration will come to me one of these days!

Staci and I were paired for 2 rounds at it happened so unfortunately she probably feels she's lucked out with me as a partner being so slow but there you go. I don't know if she was psychic or what but the colours in this square are exactly the colours in my lounge room so it will probably be made into a little cushion or one of those stand thingies I've seen on Vonna's blog!
Thanks so much girls for your patience. I'm really sorry that you've caught me at a stage in my life where things have not being running too efficiently! By the way, I did find out that I'm having another girl last week so that will mean I can do more pretty stitching (and those "sister" patterns that seem to be everywhere won't be getting overlooked anymore!) Happy stitching!

Round 9 squares received from Shelley

My squares from Shelley arrived safely and I was thrilled to receive them as Shelley has been quite ill and had advised me of the delay. Unfortunately she will not be continuing with this exchange for the time being. The stitching on the squares I received is superb. The design is from Little House Needlework - currently my favourite designers.

This is the square I sent Shelley which she was unable to send a photo to the board. Unfortunately I cannot find where I took a photo of the second square with my name on it. Perhaps I forgot. I enjoyed stitching this design from The Prairie Schooler.

Round 9 Exchange received from Chris

I received beautiful squares from Chris B yesterday, thank you so much, Chris, along with some postcards of the beautiful state where she lives. The photograph doesn't do the squares justice.

I love the design from Waxing Moon, all four were in my "someday" list, now I only have the other three to stitch!
hugs, gillie

Round 9, Squares received from Gillie and I mailed her squares

Gillie,

Sorry for being so late in posting and in mailing. I was out of town last week, just home a couple of days ago, and finally got my mail late yesterday. Your package was in the mail. Your squares are beautiful. I'll post pictures later tonight when I get home. Your squares are on their way. I had planned to mail them before I left town but did not, so they were mailed yesterday.

Two rounds received

I've received two sets of lovely squares this week. Mairi's for Round 9 arrived on Wednesday but I couldn't find my camera to take pics. Now I have the camera, but not the squares, and I find that my snaps don't do the lovely piece any justice. IRL, these are beautiful.

And, in today's mail I got these beauties from Kendra:

I love this design so much that I almost stitched it forKendra, but at the last minute I changed my mind.

Thank you both so much! I love them!

Sorry about the wonky pics. I really must read the manual for the camera.

Halloween, Round 9, and Autumn Round

Here are the Beautiful squares I RECEIVED from Marion today for Round 9. Thank you their beautiful and what adorable sheep. :)

I also RECEIVED my Autumn squares from Wendy Jo. Thank you Wendy Jo, they make me think of the wind and those falling leaves. :) I also have SENT your Autumn round out today.
I noticed to that Shelley was marked as received so I thought I would post the squares I had SENT to her. Its an ornament from the JCS Halloween issue. :)

ROUND #9 Participants

Friendly reminder that the 8th week date for Round #9 is Monday, Oct. 13 - I still have some outstanding exchangers, some have not been marked as SENT still...so if you are behind on posting/finishing your squares...you need be e-mailing me so I know what is going on with everyone.

Again, ALL Participants take a look at the list...if your name is not marked as: SENT (and you've sent), RECD (and you've received) then let me know, I know I may well miss posts or you thought you posted and it didn't publish.

If your name is not marked as SENT by Oct. 13, you are forcing me to review your membership. That is 8 weeks from the start of the round a 50 x 50 square can be stitched in that amount of time.

Thank you again to everyone participating, without your cooperation and attention to details, this exchange could not happen!

Thank you Jessica M! Round 9 exchange

Today I had the opportunity to meet Jessica M and her adorable baby at a LNS we both know. We had decided a couple of weeks ago to meet in person to make the exchange since we only live about 40 miles apart. These are the squares Jessica made for me. Aren't they lovely?! Thank you very much Jessica; I love the squares! I'm glad we got to meet in person!

Happy Stitching!
Janice M.

Thank you Brigitte!

I received my Round 9 squares today from Brigitte.
Brigitte couldn't have pick anything better to stitch for me.

She stitched a cardinal that is a Prairie Schooler design. It is beautiful and I can't wait to finish these up into something special.

Thank you so much Brigitte. I just love them!
