Pink always makes me smile

I received these beautiful squares from Linda B.  The colors are absolutely gorgeous.  I adore pinks and greens .... so fresh and spring-like.  And, if you look closely, there's even a little butterfly in this garden.  How perfect is that!?!

Marcy's Butterfly

Look at this beautiful butterfly! Marcy's squares to me arrived safe and sound (they had to travel about 60 miles) and THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! I have been paired with Marcy before and she is an excellent stitcher. She sent me this very very pretty blue (my favorite color) butterfly for the Nature exchange. Got 'em!

I received my squares yesterday from Milly D -- aren't they fun!  I love the witch and her black cat sailing through the night.  Thank you Milly for these lovely squares.   Now I have to hurry and get them finished into an ornament before October so it can be displayed with my other Halloween/Fall decorations.

Little pillow ornies

I was inspired by Daniela's post to do a little finishing over the weekend.  The plan was to get all 4 of my squares converted into little pillows but I only managed to complete 3 of them.

Fair & Square finishes

I bought myself a new sewing machine just a few weeks ago and finally started turning my received Fair& Square pieces into finished objects. I've decided to finish them all into little pin cushions and display them together with my ostrich egg in a big basket. This basket is centered on my living room coffee table. It makes me smile every time when I pass by that basket and remember all those great exchanges I had (and still have) in this group.

My squares from Marcy M.-Round 27

I have been remiss in adding my squares - I work with computers all day, but the posting of pictures seems to always befuddle me! I love this BBD design, and the pink in the house is beautiful, stitched on Marcy's own tea stained linen. I love them!

The designer is Barrick Designs and the pattern is the Five Birds Sampler.  The main thread is a Needle Necessities lovely that is currently called Cherry Cola by the folks at Threadworx.  The whole  thing is just perfect -- I love it!

The design is from Blackbird Design, one of my favourite Designers and Marcy tea-dyed the fabric  before stitching. I truly love how the design and fabrics fits together. Thank you so much Marcy.

I l o v e them. The colors are delightful (I especially like the pinks), the flower is so funky and cool, the border around the signature reminds me of a theater marquee -- all-in-all -- a really fun set of squares. Many thanks, Daniela!

Oh my gosh! Just look at these squares from Marcy for Round 25. She dyed the fabric with Rit blue denim and then stitched this darling snowman for me. My favorite color and one of my favorite items to stitch. He is too cute for words and Marcy's work is beautiful. Thank you so much Marcy for sharing your time and talent on these lovely squares.
