Halloween Squares from Lenna

I received my squares from Lenna for the Fair Square Halloween Round. They are so beautiful!

The design she stitched is from the Halloween issue of Just Cross Stitch. It is a Plum Street Samplers design, which I love. However, she switched up the design and fibers a bit which fit me better.



I just love what Lenna did with the design, especially the peacock!

It was a joy

to get a homemade card

as well,

as I also make them.

Round 21 from Lenna

What beautiful squares I received (and a homemade card) from Lenna for Round 21. She picked up from my profile that I love snowmen and stitched this very colorful guy for me. I don't think the picture does justice the scarf ends that have floss tails to mimic fringe - too cute! DH got a big smile when he saw them too. And Lenna's signature square - always colorful and two cute little birds. Thanks Lenna for a super exchange. Linda.

I made this pillow from the beautiful squares Lenna V. made for me in the 4th of July 2010 exchange. Thank you so much Lenna! Your stitching is beautiful! The colors you chose go perfectly with the fabric I had.

Glory . . . Happy 4th

These are the pieces I stitched for Jenna.

It is a San Man Original pattern

and I stitched on a little

glow in the dark bee!

I love the simplicity of SMO

but I did change the colors

to be more Folk like.

They were pink, teal and yellow

not enough like the 4th.

I added my little birds again

to my name one.

I made a card, one of three that

I finally finished after a years

rest.

I also made her some counting

needles and used red, white and blue

beads.

It was a fun stitch and making the

cards were fun, too.

Spot of Spring Square

I love it, love it, love it!!!

I was going to stitch this one cause I love the

robins

and their fat tummies.

Also March is my birth month

and it has daffodils in the stitched piece.

When I first looked at it,

I didn't

have my glasses on and it was backwards

but it looked just like the front.

Great job of stitching is what I am

trying to say.

Thanks you so very much for this beautifully

stitched work of art with a needle.

I will cherish it always.

I just went and bought Spot of Summer

and Spot of Fall.

Will get Spot of Winter

next payday.

I received your darling squares in the mail

last Sat. They are so cute!!!

I have been out

of town so sorry it took me a little

while to post them.

I love the Lizzie Kate design as

she is one of my favorite designers.

I plan to send yours out tomorrow.

I don't know what I will do with yours

but I have so many scissors I do need

scissor fobs.

Spring is just a Peep Away . . .

These are the two squares I stitched for Ruth B.

I used DMC's Variations thread

and beads and the little bees actually glow in the dark.

This is a San Man Orginial which

is one of my favorite designers.

I changed the little bird to a

blue bird of happiness instead of

the yellow she was to begin with.

It was a Hoot to stitch. Hope you

enjoy it Ruth.

This morning I went to the post office with my insurance form

and they looked at the tracking number and said it had been delivered

to your address. So would you please look around and see if they have

gotten there? That is all they could tell me and would you let me know?

Ruth I am so jealous. You can see

the sea from your window? Really?

I was 18 before I ever even saw the sea!

So . . . to say I love these little

squares is an understatement!!!
I love the sounds the sea makes

to help you sleep at night. I love

the cool ocean breezes and of

course the sunsets.

When I went on a cruise I could

not get enough of those sunsets.

It was breathtaking! Then there are those sea shells. I have

collected them from Galveston to

Cape Point, South Africa and back

again to Florida.
Your tree is so cute I know I couldn't do that. The charm

is just the right touch on your

piece.

So thank you so much for the

beautifully stitched squares of one

of my very favorite places on this

earth.
