Squares from Michele

My squares from Michele arrived Saturday. I love the design she chose to stitch for me, and the nice dark fabric really makes it pop. I love winter, so these squares will be finished into some kind of hanging to get me through the summer months until it's nice and cold again.

And they are beautiful!!! Kim stitched for me the heart baubles from SamSarah. I just love this pattern! And your stitching is great! I was laughing when I realized that your name/state are in the little heart on the 2nd square .. soooo cute :)

Thank you also for the other goodies .. you do know how to spoil someone :) Here's pictures .. sorry one of them is soooo out of focus :(

Check out my squares from Pokua. She designed the one on the left herself using animal motifs from Drawn Thread charts. Gotta to do some research, but I *think* they're all Australian animals - see those big Emus in the center, and I've heard that there's lots of sheep in Australia . I'm not sure what kind of birds those brown & red ones are, but that's a good google project for tommorow :-)

Look what the mailman brought me yesterday from Mary Kathryn! The stitching on these blocks is so neat and even, I am still amazed. She also sent lots of goodies - dinky dyes silks, linen, needles, and a sleepytime coaster & teabags. Thank you Mary Kathryn!
