Because our friend SweetPea is swamped I thought I'd drop in and show the squares I sent her in the nature/environment round so Jill can check them off the received list--
I went with a beach theme in honor of my California, sea-shell-collecting roots. It is a modified Kooler Design pattern. And, lest you should think I cannot read or pay attention (which, ok, has been known to happen), I checked in with Jennifer first to make sure it was ok to move from the usual neutral linen to a blue. I just could not put those shells on cream linen; it did not do them justice.
Thanks, Jennifer, for the fun of stitching with you!
Thanks, Jill, for making it all possible!

Jennifer F's a Hoot
No, really -- she is. I mean check out these awesome squares she sent me--
Annnnd check out that cool card too.
I know you all are jealous, but tough luck. That's my owl now! Isn't he perfect? I think he might be trying to say something too -- like maybe he's singing the theme some from CSI as a reminder that I need to catch up on my non-The Voice viewing.
Thanks everso, Jennifer!

Hey Jennifer F.!
Hey Jennifer .... I'm done. Want to see? You do --- well here you go --
What? You can't see so well? Can't you tell what it is? Hmm. I wonder what the problem is -- there are 3 colors of stitching show. You can't work it out from that?
LOL Sorry, Jennifer -- I couldn't help myself.

Jennifer F-- want to see?
Hey Jennifer, here's your floss toss. Can you guess what it's going to be? lol Before laying down money you should know.......
.... I kind of lied. You see there are some colors in that pile that aren't actually going in your piece. When I was taking this picture at like 11pm (aka, I ought to be in bed by then) my sleep-deprived brain thought that the colors might lead you to guess the subject so I decided red herrings were necessary. In the light of day I know I was nuts.
Stitching commences this evening!

My Squares from Rebecca C
Here's my squares from Rebecca C (no blog). This was her first F&S Exchange, and she did a GREAT job with them! Rebecca was also kind enough to include the chart since it's a Now & Then from Lizzie Kate and has the older "Land that I Love" included.
Thank you, Rebecca!

A *finished* finished from a 2012 Exchange
Hello? Is this thing on? Is anyone reading this blog, and more importantly, is anyone interested in participating in the exchange again? I'd love to see this group reactivated. I've met some incredibly lovely stitchers through this exchange.
I wanted to share a no sew cube I made with squares received in 2012 from Pokua. (You can see the front and back in that post)
This cube will be a lovely companion to another exchange I finished in the same manner, this one from Jeanie.

Peg and Jenn's Valentine Exchange
Peg and I were paired up again. I enjoyed our last exchange, and was pleased to be her partner again.
These are the pretty squares Peg stitched for me. The pattern is called Random Hearts by Erica Michaels, stitched on Vintage Strawflower with WDW Romance thread.

Since Peg doesn't have a camera, she asked me to post pictures of the squares I stitched for her, Valentine Heart 2008 by Dragonfly Stitches, on Antique White with WDW Begonia.

Round #29 from Pokua
I can't believe I forgot to post this here!
This is my second international F&S exchange in a row, this time from Australia. I was paired up with Pokua who stitched me this beautiful piece (in my favorite color). She stitched it in honor of Debbie Draper, who sadly passed away in early April.

Round #28 squares received
Earlier this week, I received my squares from the latest round of the Fair & Square exchange.
Round #28 from Elaine M (http://lanybleu.blogspot.com)
Queen's Heart by Marie-Chantal Lord
From The Gift of Stitching February 2006
Lany selected this design from The Gift of Stitching. My picture does NOT do these beauties justice - they're gorgeous in person and Lany's stitching is perfect. I'm planning on finishing these up in a heart shaped ornament.

Fair & Square finishes
I bought myself a new sewing machine just a few weeks ago and finally started turning my received Fair& Square pieces into finished objects. I've decided to finish them all into little pin cushions and display them together with my ostrich egg in a big basket. This basket is centered on my living room coffee table. It makes me smile every time when I pass by that basket and remember all those great exchanges I had (and still have) in this group.
Here are pictures of each single pillow (only the front with the main square, the squares with the names are on the back of each pillow, you can see those on my blog)
from Gillie - this was my very first exchange

from Jennifer in 2009

from Kathy in 2009 - I had my bicycle stolen that summer, so Kathy decided to stitch a bicycle for me. This exchange was very special too me.
***
from Kim - this one is completely stitched 1 over 1

Round # 27 from Marie P.
I was thrilled that Marie P and I were paired up again for Round #27. Since there's no dedicated Christmas Round this year, we decided to do Christmas themed squares. Little House Needleworks is one of Marie's favorite designers, so I chose Fresh Fallen Snow from the 2011 JCS Ornament issue for her, which you can see in another post.
For me, Marie stitched a lighthouse. PERFECT!! I've been eyeing up this design at my LNS for a while now, and couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger, considering I have plenty of stash and not enough time to stitch it all. Luckily now I don't have to.

As soon as I opened up the package, I knew it would make a perfect ornament, I put it in the pile I've been working on and here, in record time, is a *finished* ornament, hanging on my tree!

Thank you so much, Marie! I love it!

Round #26
I received the following gorgeous squares from Jennifer. I love how she dedicated them to our 20th wedding anniversary which hubby and I celebrated 3 months ago. And I LOVE hearts! Just perfect. Thanks so much!
And here are the squares I sent to her. I love Autumn so couldn't resist stitching this JBW design.
