Due to the discussion on this board and more e-mails, hurt feelings, etc, I am going to strictly NO PRESENTS, NO EXTRAS, NO GOODIES are to be sent with the squares. I think most people want it that way. I know I do.....
If you'd like to send a postcard with information of your country/city/state...whatever that is perfectly fine. If you send something "homemade" crafty...that is perfect too....just nothing bought and nothing overwhelming are to be sent to the recipient. AS I state in the rules...all we are interested in are beautifully stitched squares.
I will change the rules concerning the goodies today. PLEASE make note. Let's all re-read the rules....I think it wouldn't hurt ANY OF US to have refresher.

When I read this, I was a little sad because part of what I love is sending extras, and I never expect them in return.I would have preferred a strict $5.00 limit.
BUT, once I had a minute to think about it - it is going to be GREAT to just stitch and send! No pressure whatsoever to put a package together?! Wow. It really will allow me to relax and focus on making something beautiful for someone. I think it will also mean that I'll be able to take part in more rounds!
Vonna, I have to say this is one of the best administrated exchange boards I've EVER seen. As always, your experience and hard work are greatly appreciated. I hope that the change to the rules - and having us all read them as a refresher - will take some of the unpleasantness from the job you do for us.

While I don't expect any extras, I have fun sending them. And it is always fun to get them! However, in the interest of maintainging peace, I agree that the squares are the main thing. Vonna, I agree with all the comments ever posted, you are doing a great job! This is not an easy thing to do - manage a blog like this. I also would be very sad if the site had to close. Let's all just focus on our squares and stitching!
I think this is a great idea, Vonna! My Round 7 squares went out before I saw the post today (I didn't send much, I promise)...so I will be following with my next mailing :)
Thanks Vonna...we started out this way and I am glad we are returning to the "no extras" rule. :) I sent my round #7 out before reading this but will most certainly abide in the furure.
Oops, sorry Vonna...I just realized that I have not mailed out my rnd #7 blocks (it's late, I am tired and apparently I have lost my mind). They are stitched, will be mailed before the deadline, and I won't include extras. :)
