ATTENTION MEMBERS--Please Read!

Hello Fair Square members,

If you haven't read the posting dated July 12, please do so. After long consideration, I have decided to proceed as follows.

If you wish to continue to be a member of this Fair and Square exchange blog, please send an e-mail to me at purplepeacockjill@gmail.com. I MUST receive this no later than July 25. There are lots of members on here that have not participated for 1-2 years. I am still getting requests for membership and new members might just rejuvenate these exchanges.

Starting July 26, I will take new members. How many will depend on how many current members stay aboard.

I find this neccesary to do as participation in recent exchanges have been extremely low.

Thanks for your time,
Jill

Photos of 4th of July squares

Hi everyone. I finally have a moment when my computer, my digital camera, and I are in the same place. First, here is square I received from April.K:

April.K had already finished it into an ornament. Thanks April for the beautiful stitching and the finishing. I love it.

I'm also posting picture of the squares I stitched and sent to April, she received them a few weeks ago, so it's okay to post picture now.

It was fun stitching for 4th of July round. Hugs to all.

Fair Square Members

Over the last 6-9 months, participation in the Fair Square rounds have been dwindling down to less and less participants. The 4th of July round had 14 and the last regular round, #19, had 8. Signups for round #20 just ended and there were only 3. There are currently 110 members on the Fair and Square.

I know times are bad right now for alot of people. The economy stinks and job situations are not so good either. I, myself, was just laid off 3 weeks ago. I also know that there are alot of members on here that have not participated for quite a long time.

Therefore, there will NOT be a round #20 and I will evaluate future rounds as they come. I really don't want to just can this entire blog as this one is of an older version and has some perks that the newer ones don't have. This exchange just involves squares--no finishing or extras so I am just guessing as to why the lack of participation.

Feel free to leave any ideas or comments you may have.

Thanks,
Jill

4th of july exchange rec'd

Hi! Michele and I were paired up for this round. We are good friends and decided to "finish" each others square before sending them off to each other. Michele stitched the Patriotic Bird by HIH (poopy bird as we call it). LOL I LOVE how she finished it up for me. Thanks again Michele!!

Glory . . . Happy 4th

These are the pieces I stitched for Jenna.
It is a San Man Original pattern
and I stitched on a little
glow in the dark bee!
I love the simplicity of SMO
but I did change the colors
to be more Folk like.
They were pink, teal and yellow
not enough like the 4th.
I added my little birds again
to my name one.
I made a card, one of three that
I finally finished after a years
rest.
I also made her some counting
needles and used red, white and blue
beads.
It was a fun stitch and making the
cards were fun, too.

4th of July Squares from Jill F

Thank you so much Jill F for these beautiful squares.
This is Shepherd’s Bush "Land of the Free".
I can't wait to finish them and add to my patriotic decor.
Aren't they beautiful?
Sorry for the delay in posting my
camera offically died.

4th of July Square from Linda B.

I came home last night to a wonderful package from Linda! She stitched me LHN's Stars and Stripes, which is a design I've been wanting for a long time. Thank you so much Linda, I love it. It was dark when I opened the package and so was not able to get a picture taken. I will take care of this this afternoon.
