I did manage to make my way to the post office last evening. Lisa's squares are on their way from California to Western Australia via Priority Mail. Hopefully they'll arrive by the end of next week. I do hope you like them, Lisa. (I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, and I have it near the top of my "to do" list to stitch some for myself if you don't take me up on the offer to send them back if you don't like them! ;-) )

Well, I am pleased to say that I received my two beautiful squares from Dani for Fair and Square Round #8. She has stitched a freebie from Plum Pudding Designs. Thank you Dani, I love them and the design is just the style I like. I am not sure what I may make from them, but at the moment I am leaning towards a pinkeep.

PS. Luckily you put them both in a plastic bag, the postman left them on top of the mail box in the rain and the envelope was soaked. Don't know why, there was plenty of room for it in the mail box.

Here are pictures of what I stitched for Laura M. It's The Trilogy's Summer Tree.
And here's what Laura M stitched me! It's by The Cricket Collection but the name escapes me. She finished it into a basket lid with her signature lining the bottom. I have it in my second stitching corner (that's slowly growing) and as soon as I wake up it's there looking at me :-) I know it was a summer exchange but I *luv* that she stitched me a Halloween piece because I wanted to throw a Halloween Party in July but couldn't but when the package came I had my own little Halloween Party in July when I did a happy dance after opening the package!

Just an Observation

I haven't been able to check in on what everyone's doing over the last couple of weeks due to the usual life stuff. Today I just did a quick scroll through to see the pictures and just want to say I'm stunned with the beautiful squares! You all inspire me to stitch and to stitch well! I raise a glass :-).

I have just signed up to Fair and Square for the first time ( I will be joining round 9) and thought I would introduce myself. Some of you I know will know me from other groups.
I am Jane F from Manchester in the UK , forty something with a DH and 2 DDs aged 19 and 16 living at home. I work full time as a Biomedical scientist in a hospital lab ( Vonna I am a Microbiologist too!) so don't find a lot of time for stitching.
I love to stitch LHN, Ink Circles, Papillon designs and most Quaker/sampler type things - nothing too fussy and I don't do cute!

I have sent my summer squares for Cyndi H. In my rush I did not get a decent picture but I will post the one I did get when she receives it if she cannot. I have enjoyed doing these swaps but I feel inferior to the fine artists I have received from. Summer Round Squares Received from Sonda

Today I received my Summer squares from Sonda. She stitched me a Quaker Hedgehog in fun summer colors. It is very cute and fun! She also sent me a gorgeous peacock fob which is stiched 1 over 1 and has Kreinik threads in it. I must say it is stunning. My pictures are the front square with the front of the fob and the back square with the back of the fob.

Round 7 Laurie & Lisa V

Yesterday I received my squares from Laurie for Round 7. She stitched a Pine Mountain Design titled "Bless Ewe" using DMC, WDW & Gentle Arts threads and a white rayon floss for the sheep, which really makes him stand out. I also received a wonderful zipper bag that Laurie made herself, a CCN chart, some floss and ribbon.

Thank you Laurie, I love it all.

I have also included the photos of the squares that I stitched for Laurie and the extras that I sent in her parcel. The design was taken from a magazine as I found out that Laurie likes tea and the colour purple, I thought the tea cup was quite appropriate in its lovely lilac colours.

I really enjoyed my first round on Fair & Square.
