I'm so glad you like the squares! You are correct, the design is from Bent Creek. They are an adaptation of the November Twirls chart. I just recharted it to say "Autumn" instead of "November". I completely forgot to take a photo of the Hawaiian postcard I included, but here is a pic of the squares.
Today I have mailed out my Round 10 squares to Joan S AND my Xmas Round to Jennifer B. I hope they arrive swiftly. I wanted to get them out before all that holiday package sending.
Thanks, Renee, for a great exchange. I'm already thinking about how to finish the pieces, maybe a pinkeep or a scissor etui or a little flatfold? So many options ...

Sorry for being so late in posting and in mailing. I was out of town last week, just home a couple of days ago, and finally got my mail late yesterday. Your package was in the mail. Your squares are beautiful. I'll post pictures later tonight when I get home. Your squares are on their way. I had planned to mail them before I left town but did not, so they were mailed yesterday.

Thank you Heidi and Darla. I love my squares!

These are the "sign up" dates only - there will be no other rounds openingly exchanging besides the ones that are currently ongoing. Please check the actual Exchange Post (link in the sidebar) for dates of the rounds, etc.
In closing, please do NOT sign up for any exchanges if you have no intention of following through with them. I (and my moderators) are very forgiving as long as you communicate with us. When the lines of communication are open - you're still in good standing with this blog and exchanging. When the lines of communication are stopped, thats when I have to start hounding people. I don't like to hound anyone - I just want us all to participate and have fun. I'm not chastizing anyone - so please do not take it in this way - but I am still dealing with multiple exchanges that should have been finalized a long, long time ago. Work with me and I'm happy, willing and will enthusiastically work with you.
Thank you and may you all have a great weekend.
For those participating, please allow the moderators to draw names, consolidate the information and e-mail your partner information over the next 72 hours. Everyone will have partner information by 10/20/08 if not sooner.
Please remember that the Special Holiday Round CHRISTMAS has a "themed" square - and you should check with your partner via e-mail about their Christmas Square Preferences.
ROUND #10 is a "regular round" and has no theme. Please refer to the member profile section for your assigned partner's likes and dislikes.
Let's all make new friends and stitch some fabulous squares!
NOTE: the moderators will post to the board when all partner information has been sent. IF - at that time - you still haven't received your information then please contact the moderator of the round you are participating in.
Thank you and have a great weekend!

Amicale pensée à tous les francophones... et aux autres ! Véro.
My name is Daniela, I'm originally Dutch but now living already for a while in the beautiful South of Finland.
I am very excited to start stitching in this group and get to know you all. I learned cross stitching from my Dutch Granny when I was a little girl. Though I like to do all different kinds of handcraft, cross stitching is my favorite.
I like most Quakers and Sampler and anything to do with my favorite season: Autumn / Fall.

I received a wonderful set of Halloween squares from Stephanie this week. I absolutely love them. She stitch the Headless Horseman. I love the colors and the fabric she selected. I also love her signature square. I finished these as a pinkeep and have it on display for the holiday already. Thank you Stephanie for the wonderful squares.

Thank you Stephanie!
I have completed all the round listings with accompanying dates today for 2009.
I've cut some rounds and brought back others based on participation of the rounds we had this year.
In 2009 we will have:
6 "REGULAR ROUNDS" - no themes, participants will stitch squares based on their assigned partner's Membership Profile LIKES/DISLIKES.
4 CELEBRATE THE SEASONS ROUNDS - Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall (I was going to cut these out, but I heard some rumblings about me cutting them, and Jill F. graciously agreed to moderate them for the upcoming year ~ thank you Jill! )
4 SPECIAL HOLIDAY ROUNDS - Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas
That's 14 Rounds offered throughout the 12 months of the upcoming year.
It is my hope that we all continue to send/receive GORGEOUS squares. I just recently have had a few designers e-mail me to tell me that this blog is exceptional and the squares both stitched and received gorgeous. Isn't that great?! So let's all continue to exchange fabulously stitched squares!
This is the final week to sign up for Round #10.
If you are interested in participating in Round #10, then please follow the directions in the post (link in the sidebar) to sign up for participation.
Remember to please make sure you can follow through with your commitment when signing up for the round.

My name is Colleen A. and I'm brand new. I'm 39, single and live in Pennsylvania. I've been cross stitching for many years but always for others and have never actually done a piece for myself. I also recently started cross stitching for Coles Quilts. I have admired this site for many months once I learned about the art of exchanges. The creativity on thsi board is amazing and I love admiring the pieces. I too look forward to stitching for new friends and getting to know you all.
and I sent Jenn B her block today.
