Round # 2 Block sent

I am so ahead of the game! I completed Round #2 block and mailed it out today.
Guess you could say that I am ready for Round #3 :-).

This is my square from Lavender Rose (Deb)! Isn't it lovely!! I haven't been able to post a picture as my "dear" daughter broke my camera right after vacation. I just recieved the new one yesterday, so whatever blurriness is operator error!! LOL!




She even sent me a lovely swatch of red silk to help with finishing. Yikes! I better get to work!!

Some Changes

Ok, ladies....
You will notice that I've changed some stuff around here. I made a separate "blog" for Member profiles...this way your likes/dislikes/blog URL's are accessible by your partners. So when you get your new partners this week all you have to do is click on the sidebar link that says MEMBER PROFILES and it will take you to the blog with all our member's info on it. All you have to do is see your partner's name on the side, click on it and it will show you exactly what your partner said about their preferences, if they have a blog or not, etc.
I thought this "cleaned" up the look of our main blog here and made it much better to look up our partners too.
Tomorrow, I will be sending the partner info!
HURRAY! I'm ready to start! *again* :)

Sue's Pin Keep

Sue finished her gorgeous blocks from Lin into this beautiful pin keep. The picture doesn't do the piece justice. Both the stitched blocks and finishing are incredible.

Karen's Squares to Me!

I apologize to Karen for my wretched camera work. But, here are the sweetest squares she made for me! The color she used is really a medium pink and it's perfect. I think she used silk because the sheen is lovely. I also loved the threads she sent along for fun.

Karen, thank you so much for the time you spent making the quaker piece for me. You're the first square in my quilt-to-be!!

Last Call!

This is the last call for Round #2 Wednesday morning U.S. time 12 a.m. the Fair and Sqauares Round #2 will close. I will draw names for partners and send appropriate information to all that have signed up for Round #2 by Friday July 27, however in actuality, it will probably be before then.

PLEASE ensure that your name is on my list of Round #2 participants, if you don't see it and want to join the exchange please e-mail me ASAP. If you have friends that want to join, tell them to get to it, as no new members will be accepted after 12 midnight on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning for Round #2.

Blocks received!!!

Thank you Deb! The blocks are beautiful! I was away last week and have just gotten all the mail sorted. I will take a picture tonight to add, but for now, need to run to work! Deb was so nice to include a piece of red silk to help in the finishing process. Off to work and I will get a picture up tonight!

Sandy stitched part of City Stitcher, Country Stitcher by Little House Needleworks for me... This is one of my favourite Designs by LHN, Sandy and I am tickled pink with them... I love the way you stitched the second square... I haven't decided yet what I'm going to make mine into... pinkeep, needlebook... friendship quilt... the possibilities are endless, however, whatever I decide to make them into, I know I will treasure them always!

I have so enjoyed getting to know you this round, Sandy... You are a special Lady and a lovely Soul and I am so happy to call you friend... :-) We share so many things, you and I... and I know the bonds of friendship started through this exchange will only grow stronger over time...

And a special thank you to Annemarie and Vonna for starting this special exchange... I got my squares from Lizzy and Wow!

I love them Lizzy. :D They are great. She also sent me a chart by The Sampler Girl and some pretty threads with a sweet card. I love it all Lizzy. The design is by Prairie Schooler. I enjoyed getting to know you during this round Lizzy, you are a sweet lady and I hope we get to remain in contact. I enjoy talking to you. :D Thanks again so much. Now to decide what I'm going to do, a quilt or something small with it. :D

Sent!

My squares went out into the mail today. I have been waiting on goodies to come in the mail from my ONS so I could send them along, but the goodies still have not arrived. I'll be sending a separate package to Julie soon!

Amy's fair squares have arrived!

And here they are, for you all to see. Hasn't Amy done a wonderful job? She stitched a Prairie Schooler alphabet (my favourite designer in my favourite colours with my favourite image, i.e. letters on linen), and also added some wonderful Prairie Schooler charts. Thank you, Amy. You're a dear. Your squares will be flying USA-wards tomorrow!

Fair and Square from Yasmin

I received my Fair & Square block from Yasmin yesterday. She did her homework because she figured out that I was a big fan of Drawn Thread! Yasmin was so sweet; she also sent some fibers from Malaysia, a coin purse made with traditional Malaysian wedding fabric and a frogging needle! Thank you so much Yasmin. Yasmin received my square today and will be posting a picture soon.

Status Report

Hello Fair and Square Members...thought I'd give you a status report to keep us all up to date with the happenings here at Fair and Square.

First off: Round #1 is booming right along. Beautiful squares have been both sent and received already. Here's the stats:
People Participating in this round: 28
People who have completed their squares exchange (BOTH sent and received): 9
People who have SENT their square: 13
People who have REC'D only: 1
Remaining number of SENDERS: 6
Remaining number of RECEIVERS: 18

So we still have lots of beautiful squares to oooohhhh and ahhhhh over!

Hi Everyone! Louise emailed me today to say she had received the squares i stitched for her. Louise is having problems with her computer so i will post some pictures of the squares.
